01 Jan Cap d’Antibes
From the Garoupe car park, follow the wide coastal footpath facing the ramparts of Old Antibes: this will lead you to a cove where the land lies flatter. This path soon gives way to a paved one leading to Cap Gros, then running alongside the walls surrounding the great parks of the private properties “château de la Garoupe” and “château de la Croé”: the winding and sometimes narrow route leads along the rocky headland and around some small creeks. This brings you to the tip of Cap d’Antibes where you will find the villa Eilenroc.
From here you have 2 solutions :
Either you can head inland via the “sentier des Douaniers”, enclosed by two walls separating the path from the landscape gardens full of wonderful fragrances, then follow avenue Beaumont until it joins the main boulevard Francis Meilland, then return to the car park via avenue de la Tour Gandolphe.
Or you can continue along the path which leads to the pretty and untouched beach Anse de l’Argent Faux (known as “Billionaires’ Bay”) and then to the villa’s main entrance in avenue Mrs L. D. Beaumont. Take this avenue as far as the main boulevard Francis Meilland, then return to the car park via avenue de la Tour Gandolphe.
